The restoration is finally complete - all that is left now is for the grand-daughters to test ride it.

Painting of the body of the rocking horse is complete with subtle grey shading and dappled pattern on the neck and flanks.

This is probably the boring part - restoration of the frame. It was structurally sound but still required a fair bit of work.

Part 2 of the restoration involved stripping down the rocking horse, patching the paintwork and preparing it for final painting.
